Medusoil at ECSMGE24: Showcasing Sustainable Geotechnics in Lisbon

Medusoil recently showcased its latest biocementation solutions at the European Conference on Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering (ECSMGE24) in Lisbon. As a leader in sustainable ground improvement, we presented technical data on low-carbon soil consolidation to hundreds of international geotechnical experts.

Addressing the Need for Low-Carbon Ground Improvement

The geotechnical industry faces increasing pressure to reduce the environmental footprint of traditional soil stabilization methods. At ECSMGE24, hosted by the ISSMGE at the MEO Arena, Medusoil addressed these site constraints by demonstrating how bio-based mineral binders can replace traditional cement and chemical resins in critical infrastructure projects.

Technical Presentations & Innovation

Our engineering experts delivered two technical presentations focusing on the real-world application of biocementation. We shared field results from recent projects, proving that natural mineralization—biomineralization—can significantly increase soil cohesion and shear strength while achieving zero-waste circularity.
