Medusoil is collaborating with Fugro, a leader in levee and flood defence, to advance the use of bio-cementation for improving erosion resistance in sandy river dike foreshores. The work builds on our bio-mineral binder technology for sustainable soil improvement.
Field and laboratory erosion testing
Fugro has developed multiple testing methods, including PET (Plate Erosion Test), JET (Jet Erosion Test) and HET (Hole Erosion Test ), to assess erosion resistance both in-situ and in controlled laboratory environments. These tests support better decision-making in managing erosion risks in levee toes.

This collaboration blends fieldwork, laboratory innovation and engineering frameworks to explore new pathways for sustainable soil improvement and erosion mitigation using bio-cementation-based solutions.
