Located in the Arsenale, this installation demonstrates how robotic automation and biocementation can create sustainable, living architectural structures.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"viewer-technology\">Robotic Biofabrication in Action<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"viewer-tech-text\">The exhibition, titled &#8222;Geological Microbial Formations,&#8220; features a continuous robotic construction site. A robotic arm builds architectural forms by layering granulates and applying specialized biocementation agents. These agents are enriched with native soil and groundwater microbes, triggering natural mineralization to bind the material into a solid structure.<\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/medusoil.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/GMF_Biennale-2025_\u00a9-Lloyd-Lee-3-300x198.jpg\" alt=\"Robotic arm biocementation showcase\" \/><\/figure>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"viewer-inspiration\">Inspired by Nature: Stromatolite Formation<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"viewer-inspiration-text\">This pioneering project is inspired by the natural formation of stromatolites\u2014biogenic structures created by microorganisms. By combining robotic precision with organic binders, the installation celebrates the collaboration between matter, microbes, and machines, redefining the future of <strong>sustainable urban development<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"viewer-partners\">Academic and Industry Collaboration<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"viewer-partners-text\">This achievement is the result of a partnership between Medusoil and leading academic institutions, including <strong>ETH Zurich<\/strong> (D-ARCH and ITA) and the ALIVE Initiative.
